I sent the "comfort bundle" to my brother who was returning home after cancer surgery. My brother & sister-in-law have given me nothing but positive comments about the food & the Magic Kitchen. Everything has been delicious, the reheating instructions easy to follow & the packaging excellent. My personal experience with Magic Kitchen, the phone conversation to place the order, was easy & the person I spoke with could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Since I contacted Magic Kitchen through the internet, I wasn't sure about the quality of the food or the service. All has been exemplary.

Almost everything in this bundle was good. Meats were very good. Vegetable dishes were good and nice to have some variety. The basil lasagna was a bit strange-just wasn't what I expected.

The beef brisket and the chicken pot pie were my favorites. I live in a town (in Alabama--the heart of barbecue) full of great barbecue restaurants, and the beef brisket was as good as or better than any barbecue I've had. It didn't dry out in the oven. The broth in the chicken pot pie tasted homemade, and the crust was perfect. The mashed potatoes and the pork chop were a little dry, but both were very tasty. The best part of the whole bundle is that we didn't have to cook, and we only had two plates and two forks to clean up after every meal. My in-laws gave us a gift certificate to Magic Kitchen right after our third baby was born. It's been SO nice.
