Pierogies, Potato & Cheese

Pockets of soft dough filled with mild cheese and mashed potato. These are down home eating! Whether you spell it pierogie, piroghi or pierogie, authentic handmade pierogies are a delicious treat! Serve with sour cream, bacon bits,or melted butter scattered with your favorite fresh herbs!

Enriched wheat flour (milled wheat, malted barley flour), fresh potatoes, water, Bakers cheese (cultured skim milk, milk proteins, rennet), onions, soybean oil, liquid eggs, seasonings (salt, pepper). CONTAINS: milk, egg, soybean, wheat

Heating Instructions

SKILLET (Preferred Method): For best results let pierogi thaw. Do not refreeze. Promptly refrigerate unused portion.
  • Place thawed pierogie in skillet with melted butter and 3-4 Tbsp of water on medium heat.
  • Turn occasionally to brown both sides evenly.
Boil: For best results let pierogi thaw. Do not refreeze. Promptly refrigerate unused portion..
  • Boil 3-4 quarts water. If desired add salt to taste.
  • Add pierogie to pot, leaving uncovered. Cook 2-3 minutes, or when pierogie rise to top. Stir occasionally. Do not overcook. Drain.
  • Serve with sauteed onions & butter or sour cream.
Microwave: Prepare from THAWED state for best results.
  • Place desired amount of pierogie in a microwave safe dish.
  • Sprinkle water on top of the pierogie and cover the dish.
  • Cook on high for 1-2 minutes (cooking time may vary depending on the microwave)
  • Serve pierogie with your choice of sauteed onions & butter, sour cream or bacon bits.

Haven't quite got the hang of easily cooking these but they are very tasty.

I am a little polish girl. These aren't as good as my grandmother's, but they're good enough for me. Love them.

Soooo good! Don't use too much butter if you pan fry them though, it can easily leave them greasy. A serving is 3 pierogies BTW, you get 12 in a package.
