Asparagus with Lemon Sauce

We take young tender asparagus and steam it until it is just crisp-tender. Meanwhile we saute minced garlic in creamery butter until it is tender and fragrant. Then we add a splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Finally we toss the asparagus gently with the butter, lemon and garlic sauce, and finish it with a sprinkle of Parmigiano for the final gourmet touch.

Heating Instructions

Microwave:

Remove plastic packaging from paper tray.

Place paper tray on a plate in the microwave for heating.

Heat for 1.75-2 minutes on medium, until hot.

Place onto plates and serve.

Asparagus was mushy. I guess that's what happens when you freeze and microwave it. I'll stick with fresh.

The flavor is great... but the veggie didn't survive the micro-and it seemed that it took a long time to get warmed.

The lemon sauce was excellent. To avoid the tougher ends of the asparagus, I would trim off the bottoms a little bit.
